The European Regulation n. 517/2014 / UE dictates provisions for the reduction of fluorinated greenhouse gases used, among other things in fixed refrigeration equipment. Among the latter we find the equipment (refrigeration batteries) installed on closed cycle degreasing systems.
The discipline of the European Regulation mentioned above (which replaced the previous regulation dictated by Regulation 842/2006) provides, among other things, that the equipment intended for refrigeration containing greenhouse gases is checked with a predefined frequency (annual in the cases in question ).
Operators of closed cycle degreasing systems are required to take precautions to prevent the accidental release of fluorinated greenhouse gases and, in the event of accidental leaks, must ensure that the equipment is repaired without undue delay; they are also required to have it checked (with appropriate duly calibrated “leak search” instruments).
We remind you that the regularly registered operation must be repeated within one month from the date of repair of the same and reported in registration (Telematic Portal of the Ministry of the Environment).
Companies that perform assistance / maintenance / repair / dismantling of equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases must:
• be certified according to the dictates of art. 10 of Reg. 517/2014
• make use of duly trained operators, according to the dictates of art. 10 of Reg. 517/2014.
Dollmar Meccanica, which for years has been carrying out assistance and maintenance operations on closed cycle degreasing systems (and on their components intended for refrigeration) is equipped with specific Certification issued by ICMQ both at company level (n. Cert. FG-00661) and at the level of authorized operators.
We also remember that the D.P.R. 146/2018 (which constitutes the implementation of EU Regulation No. 517/2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases) provides for the establishment of a database on fluorinated greenhouse gases, a database in which to insert the maintenance interventions performed on the refrigeration containing the above refrigerant gases. The mandatory registrations, unlike in the past, are no longer the responsibility of the operator (manager) of the equipment, but of the Certified company that performs assistance / maintenance / repair of the equipment itself.
